Our fellows and scholars are experienced architects from both sides of the Atlantic who are passionate about cultural preservation. Thanks to the Richard Morris Hunt Prize, they’ve had a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to travel overseas to experience the cultural relativity of architectural heritage and see how the other country approaches architectural preservation from a technical and cultural standpoint.
Since 1990, our fellows and scholars have formed a bona fide international family that discusses current issues in architectural preservation all the time. And they enjoy meeting up with one another during regular meetings organized by the Amis du Richard Morris Hunt Prize in France and the United States.
Spread across all of France and the US, they also provide invaluable support to the new fellows and scholars chosen every year, helping them with their trips and projects by opening doors to many local resources so they can gain different perspectives.
